Just picked up a collection of about 200 Daybills today, within it were these fine examples of British comedy at its very best!!

Got to love Chantrell!! now to get his other 'Kevin Connor/Doug McClure' classics 'The Land That Time Forgot (75), The People That Time Forgot (77) and Warlords of Atlantis (78)'.in January 2017 Comment by Wil January 2017
Also wanted to say that although obviously traced, the W.E Smith portrait was actually a pretty good likeness:
As a matter of interest with this latest Colorcraft addtion, Simon Dwyer in the UK has their One Sheet version on his site which I'm assuming is also a second printing? I would post an image but am still weary of posting images belonging to others, …

Same as the original release all except the portraits and W.E Smith text.... Five
(Quote) Hmmm ABBA....
Then again we should really call it Six versions what with my (no ratings) NZ one.

(Quote) Actually five! EMP has an example of each on their history page. The one not shown on this thread is actually a hybrid of the original (colour scheme and credit order) and re-release (artwork/portraits lower right). Very puzzling as it was…(Quote) Not yet, if she's prepared to part with some of them, some of the attractive ones (Casino Royale, Genevieve, Exodus, Gungadin, L&H and Black Rock etc.) will be listed on my site, the others I will likely mount onto an LED A4 backlit ta…Thanks David, most of them aren't worth a great deal, however i much like some of the additional text such as "Next Saturday, also rounders!" and the varrying degree of skill/effort in the colouring.Right last batch, my turn to cook tea and my other half doesn't look happy after being sat with the lights out for the last hour+
Last batch I promise! although it's very addictive once you figure out the best way to light them on the ipad (notepad screen/bright white with no writing) and pull all the curtains in the room.in Glass Slides Comment by Wil January 2017
Using an iPad as a lightbox works pretty well, chances are i'll get myself an A4 or A3 LED slimline lightpad and cover it in the nicer slides, then hold them in place with a sheet of acrylic sandwiched on top and fixed around the edges.Just been given about 60 of these to sort through, some good, some bad, all pretty quirky.

Shocking isn't it? I once saw an Irish Dr No UK Quad where the bikini clad girls all had clothing painted onto them. How the world has changed.
Not it in the best of shape and the vigilant amongst you might spot a rather discrete white label!in Simmons Ltd. Litho Comment by Wil January 2017
(Quote) I'm afraid there's no indication at all of where they were printed.
Yes I would certainly be interested to see what else is out there besides the ones seen on EMP.Maybe if it was widened to "stock posters of the 40's & 50's" we might get a few more bites? I don't have many more than what I've already posted above, but I'm sure others would be able to add to it?(Quote) Actually EMP history has a 'Grand Central Murder' on the MGM stock, so 40's it is then. Although they do list the blank stock elsewhere as 50's?(Quote) It could still be like for like, such as:
The Longest Day v's Saving Pvt Ryan.
Angels One Five v's The Battle Of Britain
Theirs Is The Glory v's A Bridge Too Far
Dam Busters v's Memphis Bell
The One That Got …
The Daybills a given, it was tucked inside the One Sheet, so …
Now back to W.E.Smith, albeit a tad tatty. (Quote)
Off subject, but here's three other stocks that I …
