  • (Quote) Now you've upset the princess!

  • With a not so tedious gold bikini!
  • (Quote) You won't be disappointed mate, British wartime themed cinema at its very best. Also no doubt helped by the fact that the vast majority if not all the major actors had recently served in the forces.

  • Today's double bill (crappy weather outside). Both pulled from a bargain bin yesterday, sadly neither blue ray, but for $4NZD a piece couldn't say no!

I'm guessing the newly release Ice Cold shouldn't have been in there, but their l…
  • @Lex I used a US based postal box to forward them to New Zealand. Although speak to Robert as I'm sure he'd ship overseas if asked.
  • Wowzers! Great score, loving RWAC!

  • (Quote) She's not impressed you called her a he!  ;)
  • Take two (a 'slightly' lighter version, Bindi still not impressed!)

  • (Quote) Cheers Ves, my old phone camera doesn't do it justice. The walls are actually flat white etc. He's no bolted to the wall in four places, so no plans to move him unles we sell the house!
  • Well he's up (confused black Labrador for scale), the sun has long since gone down, so sadly having to rely on spot lighting (hence the reflections and dark image).

Mysterious pilot should be hanging to the right of him next week.

  • A couple more titles for the fledgling war collection (both staring George Peppard by chance).

  • (Quote) Cheers mate, yep the one sheets will definitely be staying put, the Quads will likely end up in custom frames, but will do for now.
  • (Quote) Still have to attach a rigid backing board, string a wire and add corner pads (bloody sharp corners which will chew into the wall in no time if modified to hang like a standard frame.

Anyway for you mark here's the simple assem…
  • (Quote) Lovely looking lobby, bloody brave actors/pilots in those days (many flew without the rather recent invention of parachutes!).

Frank Hawks sadly died months after the Mysterious Pilots release whilst flying an experimental aircr…

  • Well my 6 Spotlight Display frames have just arrived, so hopefully i'll get the next couple of days to play around with them and see if I can string a wire across the back to hang like them like a standard frame, rather than having to screw th…
  • Think you need to show us your rear end to clear up what's on the back Mark :)

  • 1943 New Zealand Liberty Loans one sheet.

  • A few holes/tears, but should hopefully come up ok once backed.

Think they could have also used a slightly larger 'A' stamp!

  • Don't think it's already been posted, but worst portrait award could go this Lee Marvin & Roger Moore horror!

  • Nice Alice Cooper Rick, never heard of that title before.

  • Cheers, obviously not the best lighting. But it looks bloody heavy! So won't be using the track/drops for this one. Also with the amount of earth movement in Christchurch it'll likely need bolting into the wall.
  • Just received this image from my framers. Hopefully it'll be delivered and hung early next week.

  • Great job mate, have to start sending you my stuff ;)
  • (Quote) You're not wrong Ves. Did you say you had a spare one of those 1931 Frankenstein Daybills going cheap?  ;)

  • Paul - Love the Konga, almost worth a frame itself?

Mark - The massive green dot of the eye looked like a blacked out Aussie rating decal at first glance! Nice score mate.

Also ref earlier Carve Her Name post, Matt has now come…

  •  Offered what was believed to be a 'Carve Her Name With Pride' daybill (which I'm after!), what materialised obviously wasn't what was thought, but grabbed the press book regardless.

  • (Quote) Thanks Lawrence, a bit of an oddity, more so with the mass of different titles used for Bruce Lee's movies. Such as Fist of Fury & Fists of Fury etc.
  • I'm assuming my 1971 The Big Boss is a Bruce Lee stock daybill? as (the other) Bruce sold a 1972 The Chinese Connection daybill in 2004 that's mighty similar
  • (Quote) Ha! Sorry Matt thought I already had. River Kwai it is! (Sorry Clint  :s)
  • Love them both (posters and movies), but I'd say BOTRK just pips it in terms of cinematography and acting.
