(Quote) The only one that immediately comes to mind is 'The Northville Cemetery Massacre'. I have 2 daybills for this film - presumably an original (full colour) and a RR (B&W). The B&W one is on thicker stock. I'll look to post pics to sh…

For me, I only have 2 that really pop:

The daybill for 'Super Vixens' was also printed on heavier stock that the usual daybill. Another Russ Meyer film - 'Up!' - is the same. I have two types of daybill for that film and they are both on the heavy stock.
No idea for the differ… -
How to choose??
Um...these are 3 that I think are great!

Well, since starting this thread about 2 years ago:
Missing daybills:

* They Came From Beyond Space - No image located.

This is the only Aussie poster that I know of that is roughly those dimensions:

I think I have a Aussie press sheet - let me see if it says a one sheet was available.

I'm not aware of any Blaxploitation poster that has that EXACT look, but as was mentioned earlier, it's in the style of Cleopatra Jones, Friday Foster, TNT Jackson etc.
-
The other question to ask is how often would this daybill come up for sale? Even if it's 10% - 20% higher than you might want to pay now, if one doesn't come up for another 5 years, would the extra $$ be worth it for the extra years of pure, unadult…

My one experience came with a hefty price tag after the auction house insisted that I had to have my win couried to me - postage was not an option!

This link: http://www.ozmovies.com.au/movie/survivor tells us that although it was a flop, it certainly was released in Australian cinemas.

I saw an interview with Tony where he did comment that films like 'Patrick' and 'Snapshot' were far better received overseas than locally - but surely you wouldn't skip a theatrical release locally altogether?

Just received an email from HA - now that they've agreed to post my daybills to the ShopMate warehouse in Oregon, the postage is only $23USD.
ShopMate shouldn't charge much more than that to send it here, so I'm looking at less than $50US… -
I would have kept it, too!

(Quote) But then I wouldn't have them anymore! You can see the bind I'm in :-)

They've come back with a cheaper option - $62!
So I've asked them to ship to Shopmate in Oregon; at least they'll probably only charge around $30 to post it. -
Hi Bruce,
With you starting to add images to your archive of posters you've never auctioned from your pressbook collection, do you think you'd ever look to expand that idea and start loading images of other rare posters? -
Don't think I've posted this comparison before - Australian and NZ daybills:

A lot of my heralds have probably survived by being stored inside the related pressbooks for decades. One of my favourites:

Maybe the hand on her neck tricked the censors into thinking this was a more violent image than it is? I guess if you squint, you might think that she's making a fist to fight him off?
I know...I'm totally reaching! -

They still appear from time to time:

Any pointers on the best place to store your photos online?

Pretty sure that mine was from a collectors bazaar in Melbourne - the daybill for 'My Bloody Valentine', if I recall correctly.
Scarily, that was more than 20 years ago! -

As a horror / exploitation fan, I have bought many old video posters when I've had the chance. Often the video posters feature different (and sometimes better) art to theatrical release posters. With the crazy censorship Australia experienced in the…
