Different era, but I think this is a pretty rare daybill of an Australian movie.

(Quote) I've found lately that IMDB isn't all that we'd like it to be - especially when it comes to the more obscure stuff. Some research I was doing for a German film released in Australia turned up a US One Sheet, some B&W stills and a …

Hi Bruce,
Looking forward to the new format - seeing more regular auctions of all sizes sounds like a great strategy!
One query - as you start auctioning more bulk lots, is there any way you can still capture title information… -
I've seen the UK poster and it doesn't seem to have the signature, so now I'm wondering if it's a European artist?

Our NZ friends used a lot of different methods for adding their censorship details on to posters. This looks like one that they glued. If it is, anything such as UnDu won't work, I'm afraid. Sometimes that glue dries up enough that the sticker comes…

It's a UK film, if that helps?

I've been trying to do some artist research lately and the info is pretty thinly spread and hard to nose out. The info about Bill Gold here is a great example - I recently contacted eMovieposter to tell them that Bill was responsible for The Exorcis…

Some of the hottest baseball / basketball / football stars have got cards that are only a few years old but are already past the reach of the average person, but if you're a "collector" then you're not going to take part as you'd actually want the i…

From everything I can find, the UK art used wasn't anything like the art of the Aussie poster, so not sure it's an issue of the artist lifting the rating along with the artwork. In fact, the full cat image only seems to exist in advertising rather t…

I have a daybill for 'Class of '74' that's re-titled as 'Class of '77' for the same reason.

'Hell's Angels 69' - like a lot of the biker pics from the late 60s / early 70s - wasn't released here until a few years after it was released. Being released in 1972, calling it '69 was thought to be silly - so they thought 690 was far better! :-)

Same film - believe it or not!
Pay and hold and bundling are really the only ways around over the top postage costs. That being said, I personally treat postage as a necessary evil. Sometimes I have to walk away from a deal, and sometimes I grit my teeth and cough up the dough. I…I guess movie poster collecting and Mondo poster collecting aren't the same thing.
One is a historical, ephemeral, nostalgic hobby and the other is a modern, manufactured scarcity, niche investment.I honestly don't know how to feel that the Mondo Jaws poster sold for more than any original one sheet Bruce has ever auctioned. $600 more than a VG-F unfolded example of Roger Kastel's iconic art, described (in part) "...very few are completely unf…Ha!
Making a huge face the focal point of a film about a faceless man!(Quote) Hi all!
Just picked up this version (thanks John!) - essentially the same but with a 'Not Suitable for Children' rating. I'm thinking the red & blue version is the older of the two?in Missing 1950's and 1960's Horror & Sci-FI daybill images. Comment by Pancho December 2020
You just have to shake your head...Hmm...
Now I think about it - does the Robert Burton credit on the LHS (the typed one) suggest this poster is a later release? When did Robert Burton move away from the more handwritten look for their credits? The original and duotone (thanks Bruce!)

There is another thread talking about whether there was a Jaws 2 RR or not:
https://vintagemoviepostersforum.com/discussion/1325/jaws-2-d…I was wondering if you'd seen it Ves! I'll load up a better picture when it arrives. It looks like they just cobbled together a range of images from other Roadshow daybills to make the poster up. I'm still digging, but it seems the movie was showing…Hey gang!
Just waiting for this one to arrive, but curious as to whether anyone has seen one before?
Still several images unidentified in both of these stock posters - I wonder if the answer lies in foreign posters / paperwork?Just browsing some old threads...
Is it fair to assume that any second printing would have to be rarer than the initial printing? Not suggesting, they'd necessarily be worth more, but purely from a collectors point of view, there would of…
