It's for sale right now.
Could put pressure on your good behaviour commitment!
I think it's a 30 x 40. -
Here is Term 1sht from 1927 >>

-
There are two silent Aus films for Term of his natural life - 1908 & 1927. Above would be 1908.
-
There is a shorter, gloss paper version of F13, but this one appears to be a trim job on top border:

This is a poster I've only seen one of. Facelift Films isn't mentioned on the daybill.

Everyones became Film Weekly, running up to late 1970s as a cinema trade publication. There will be ads and info for just about every movie discussed on this forum. Best resource we have and I'm glad to hear it is finally being digitised.

There was rumour of an Aussie Bride of Frank one sheet for sale in a Blue Mountains antique shop years ago. Apparently Phil raced to the shop but it was already gone, if it ever existed.

(Quote) Have a look at some early Chaplin dbs for Renwick Pride. They seemed to be a general printer who dabbled in lino-cut(?) posters from time to time.
-
Pretty cool. I've seen handwritten on back but never printed. Renwick Pride was involved with movie promotion very early on.

Pre-code in the US was prior to 1934. Might not mean much locally, but I guess that date sticks in my mind.
Ves has some Everyone's mags from the early 1930s with articles on Aussie and NZ censorship.

(Quote) Yes, I remember when I had The Citadel and that had no rating. Still makes me sus though. The censors weren't lax back then.
-
No mystery. I placed it on top of Keystone Cops and took a photograph so you can see how a poster underneath shows through, as in Malaga.

Douglas on Aust poster and Marshall on U.S.
Weird ... -
No rating makes me sus on this poster.
Is it Melvyn Douglas or Marshall depicted? Looks like MD to me. -
(Quote) Sometimes on very dark posters such as Die Hard etc the ink is visible on the back of the next poster as they pile up. I tend to believe that the ink is dry once they have been guillotined to size and then transferred to the folding machin…

During WWII some of the large format UK posters were printed on both sides, but I have never seen it on Aussie paper.

(Quote) The gold does seem to transfer on gloss paper as I have the same on a Phar Lap poster.
For older posters like Phantom Gold my theory is that the ghosting occurs over a very long period of time rather than by ink that hasn't dried prop…(Quote) I think you'll find that if the paper is folded just above the bottom line of the triangle then the shadow will cross over onto itself as we see on the poster. Here is a more severe problem caused by a dog ear. You can see how the colours are overlaid for a deeper black.

You can see how the heavy black rating and title are a mirror image on the paper. That is a shadow / ghosting effect from being folded. I don't think it's on the back, Lawrence.
Not sure about Malaga, but could be one poster laying on top of t…Never seen that one before.
Probably ghosting from being stored folded. I had a US one sheet with similar issue a long time ago.Fiendish ...

(Quote) My guess is 1933 wins by about $100K!Personally, I rate Kong as No.2 on list of all-time most desirable titles, just behind Metropolis.
Question is: will a first release Australian poster ever turn up?in Where Are These Daybills? Comment by Mark June 2018
