The paper is likely to emerge wrinkled after soaking to remove the snipe. typically a poster is bathed and backed after removal of snipes. You can try placing some blotter paper or paper towels if nothing else to dry the corner and place books on to…

Hey Ben,
I would assume the most individuals who linenback posters would deacidify them in a bath prior to backing them, and performing restoration. But that's certainly not something that can be assumed anymore.
As Ves said, if you…

I've heard that most snipes are water based glues, so I would think that spraying/soaking only the portion of the poster that has the snipe will loosen it up if the glue is water based. place a soaked paper towel underneath, and on top, and keep …

Agree with the color overload-but think it’s worse when things are colors they shouldn’t be; the faces in Shane & Married Boss I think hurt the appeal of the poster. In Rear Window there’s a lot of red, but the stars …
Bulos,
I finally got a look at the calendar images; very nice artwork; certainly would look nice if restored and fixed up!

Welcome Greg!Good to hear your health is doing well, and welcome back Mel! Good health is what matters as we all navigate Covid these days.
Have been following your re-buying splurge and as always-some spectacular pieces. Mostly your 30’s-40’s 1S…Justin, that's a solid start! Wheat starch looks to be in good shape after the fridge, and yes-add water in the blender to get the paste to the consistency of "runny honey" (Charlie phrase).
I use a new painting brush to apply the wheat pa…
Here’s another fun Daybill experience. Tape was present in two long strips. Fortunately a string bleaching and camouflage did the trick.

It is exactly the latter! Quite tough to manage any extra bills i have laying around and then be forced to decide between some great looking Daybills and the 1930s-1940’s One Sheets.
Quite the conundrum I’m faced with; but seriously,…Bruce, I'm not sure how many I speak for, likely few, but why do you insist on putting the Daybills in the same auction as folded One Sheets. It's created more stress that I ever thought; not that I have a lot of cash to be throwing your way, but se…Justin-Big commitment and looks like you’re ready for some great results! Looking forward to the journey as well!Agreed! Johnny O’Clock is classic Powell/Noir!

@Dario thanks so m…Welcome Moviefan! After a solid deacidification bath, and a fairly aggressive bleaching it was ready for some resto.
It turned out fairl…It’s been a cluster of a year, well, make than last year & half-but here’s one I’ve gotten to as of late.
Missing paper here and there, including a missing corner. Inappropriate and downright offensive pen marks in 3-4 places! …Welcome Angelo! Lookin forward to seeing some of your French pieces!Wow! Thought I was seeing more of you FB. All the best and good luck! And enjoy your break
even though it includes m… Yikes! Those are some really nice pieces! Daybills are spectacular!
I’ve not bought really anything lately, but I reached into my coin jar and was able to snag this 1930’s piece. Couldn’t pass it up.
Great paper on display in August so far! Aussie Daybills seem to be leading the way with some really beautiful artwork-but as noted-that Argentinian, Opening Night, is really sweet!Welcome Branch!
Race Street! Fun movie and the Daybill is fantabulous!
