Re: April 2020
Yep, it's me. Back again. Nothing super exciting here, and not a "hey guys, I found a Metropolis 6 sheet!" post. Anyhow, it is stuff for y'all to look at (and think to yourselves "why the feck would he buy that??). There's other posters that I have on the radar, but we'll see what I actually come up with. Watch this space for further developments. It just occurred to me that maybe I should be posting these in the my collection thread. Hmmmm. What to do? I guess I'll just post 'em here for now.
First off, how about a Risky Business poster without Tom Cruise? Just a nice, wholesome gal and a Porsche 928. It is a video release poster (reserve your copy on Beta now!), but it was also cheeeeep. Not sure what I'm going to do with it yet, but I like it.

Sorry about the poor pic here. This is a seller's photo, like usual. The magnets I have for my whiteboard won't hold this thing unrolled, so this will have to do for now. I used to have a 1 sheet for this, but now I have a window card:

Here we have a set of stills for Hot Car Girl. I was on the fence a bit about buying them, as they may be the dullest set of stills ever. There are two that I have that aren't pictured, but they're nothing to write home about either. They weren't expensive, so I thought it would be remiss of me not to add them to the rock-o-car geek collection. Maybe this isn't an entire set, and someone just kept the good ones. Who knows.

Next up, a couple more automotive-ish ones. I know, gee whiz, what a surprise! I'll still keep looking for this under it's preferable title, Hot Rods To Hell, but this will be a decent placeholder for now:

A Belgian poster for Checkpoint. I have the US 1 sheet, but the art on this one is different and in some ways better:

And lastly for now (how can the fun be over so fast? - I know, I know, that's what she said.) a half sheet that I've been looking for, for a while now. It's a C-list title to be sure, but not one that pops up a lot:

I'm not sure what within the "panorama of abnormalities" would cause her to tear her clothes off, but whatever it is, I'm good with it.

Re: How is everyone doing?
Due to heart related problems and being in the older age bracket are two good reasons to be bunkered in at home these days. Finally managed to get my hands on a good supply of toilet paper. Food supply storage is looking healthy - enough to last for a few weeks anyway.
I hope everyone else is coping o.k.
A friend sent me the following information that I though I would share.

Now to finish on the brighter side.

Make sure to never drink (or get high) and bid. A BAD combination!dedeposter said:I know I've been spending more this year despite trying not to.

Re: Rockabilly's Poster Framing Exploits
Thanks for your kind words, guys and gal.
It's the same problem a lot of us have, I'm sure. There's way more posters than there are places to hang 'em! Arrrggghhh.
Re: Missing 1970s daybills
Coff's Harbour drive-in might have needed a bit of educating on film titles!

Re: MAD MAX banned by argentinean censorship in 1980.
Probably the only surviving footage would have been the landscape shots and the credits....HONDO said:
According to IMDB the film eventually obtained a release in Argentina on February 4 1982.
One wonders then what amount of censoship would have occured to allow the film to be screened there?
