Re: A Do You Know Your Classic Movies Quiz.
Good one then with being here to answer before anyone else. Four minutes from posting to receiving the answer must be a record I would think.dedeposter said:C451 - It's one I actually know! The Day of the Locust (1975)
This film is an experience once viewed is not easily forgotten, particularly the angry mob riot scene. Underrated when first released it is now considered by some to be a masterpiece.
The film director in my posted image is real life director and producer William Castle playing the cameo role of a director.

Re: Where Are These Daybills?
An original Dracula or Frankenstein would look good in my collection.

Re: Which Are Your Favourite 'B' Team Artwork Monster Daybills?
Godzilla ( 1954 ) Australian daybill film poster history.

Two original 1957 Australian first release Paramount daybill posters.
A similar designed daybill without a distributor's credit. Most likely a follow up design for Paramount. The film's Australian distribution appears to have been handled only by Paramount between 1957 ansd1962.

This non credited distributor daybill would appear to have been a 1963 printing, Regent ( RFD ) took over the distribution of Godzilla from Paramount in 1963, so this poster should then be a RFA daybill.

Thank goodness for that, as I was beginning to question my own thinking.dedeposter said:The shadow on her neck in the duotone version makes it look like her head has been twisted 180 degrees.

221 I am thinking Faye Dunaway in Bonnie and Clyde (and I knew 220 for sure, but that darn Jay beat me to it!)

Re: Restoration pitfalls.
An example of one that I'll be leaving 'as is', is this Wynne Davies long daybill for Billie Love's 1928 Adoration that I picked up in Perth earlier this year (Thursday 10th July gives it a 1930 release in Australia).
If the lower left section had been present it would have certainly been a restoration contender, however given that the portrait is the best bit, it should still display well.
