Re: Bitter Springs 1950 Australian daybill
There were recently nine copies of this daybill version that I had located that were currently up for sale on the internet that were being advertised by various sellers. Mutiple copies of six from one seller.HONDO said:
Copies of the above Bitter Springs (1950) Australian daybill designed poster version appear regularly, and have done so for many decades in the marketplace in large numbers, It is constantly credited as being an original first release poster though when in fact it is a later 1950's second printing.

Re: Where Are These Daybills?
There isn't a credit for any actor playing Hitler in the film appearing on IMDb. Hitler only appears in some newsreel archive footage inserted in the film. Hitler didn't appear on any poster artwork produced in the U.S.A.dedeposter said:Would they have been images of the actor playing Hitler? I haven't seen the film so don't know.darolo said:Great 1 sheet, although the images of Hitler on both posters aren't completely on the mark.

In Australia the film was released the following year in 1940 after Hitler had invaded Poland. Australia was very forward in the depiction of Hitler and the Nazi brutality on our posters produced here. I do find the unique Australian artwork excellent and very effective for its time.

Re: Hondo's This And That
Oh I like that...I mean the yellow is insane, but other than that!
Re: Where Are These Daybills?
Anyone else interested in this PRC subject? I have some more PRC Australian posters, both daybill and one sheet images, along with some great PRC U.S.A. inserts for films that were never released here. The inclusion of this material here will depend on the showing of your interest.

Re: Hondo's This And That
I did happen at the time to miss the misspelling on the ad for Patricia Morison. Good work in noticing that error.dedeposter said:Well, the misspelling of Patricia Morison was another error in that original ad then!
