Sorry for the delay in answering, but I am insanely busy.
The 3-sheet was missing its bottom section, and the person who had it restored used the pressbook image as a guide, so there is no rating on the bottom.
I will of course disclose all the above. One could have another restorer add a rating area, if they wanted.

It is so very sad. The worst of it is that the shipping companies make record profits, because they endlessly raise prices at the same time they give worse and worse service.theartofmovieposters said:Postage to and from the US but especially from is ridiculous...pretty soon wont be able to buy or sell anything to them.
16 weeks of Pay and Hold helps offset the blow for frequent buyers, but there is no hope for those looking to buy or sell a single poster.

The above badly damaged Blackmail(1929) Australian one sheet that would be impossible to restore still looks great in its current state.

I'd leave the posters as is if you're not sure of what the missing material is, and even then, it's a 50/50 decision. Some of those unrestored posters above look great with bits missing. Gives them character.

As far as I can see both the two posters are of the same design that was printed for the original release.

Linenbacking and restoration definately have their place. I've had and have several posters which you can't handle without a bit coming off.
If there is MINIMAL (and I mean minimal) amounts of restoration needed to bring the poster back to life and there are references available, I dont mind that. However, anything I get restored is for me to enjoy...I dont think about the resale value...Ive had so many done, that I would never get my money back if I tried to sell them. But I love the posters and they bring me so much joy.
When there is no reference available, but you need to stablise the paper, just leave the bits that are missing, alone...dont guess.
I used that Mysterious Pilot as my inspiration for this one:
I can't find another copy anywhere...not a heavy hitting poster but I love it. Loved it since I laid eyes on it, but it was falling about. So had it backed, but left alone...No guessing what should be there.

I think the faded one is the later NSFA rerelease from the 70s I think?:HONDO said:
I thought that I would include here, along with the original coloured daybill, the same design that has faded drastically over the years. One can still faintly see the yellow stripes. One has to wonder how this was allowed to have happened?

Gosh, I would love to get a good look at the press sheet...and those are some lovely stills.
As part of the restoration of the film, the team used some stills to fill in the parts that were missing or too damaged to keep the original feel of the film accurate.
