Re: Let's Wake the Sleeping Giant: Ideas for Making Vintage Movie Posters Famous
Problem is that there is no way to accurately maintain chain of ownership or change in condition once the ID is made.
Only way to do this is to conceal the image and slab it - which defeats the purpose in some ways.
Plus I’m not sure I want people to know which movie posters I have.
One of the biggest collectors has a full database of his posters online and he continually fights off offers.

Re: Poster Developing Country Germany
Also, I think Americans want too much restoration. I prefer the European approach or conservation based restoration.

Re: Yeah, so, I am watching this..,
I had my first IMAX experience to see EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert. People stood and cheered at the end and applauded several songs along the way. It takes a lot to make Elvis fans happy, but they are with this film.

Re: Rare Australian Posters Of Australian Films
A rare The Reef (1977) first release Australian daybill of a double bili poster also featuring a re-release of The Back Of Beyond, (1954). Both documentaries were produced and directed by John Heyer. The following image included on IMDB is an edited version of the poster, but leaving off The Back And Beyond images and information and the screenig at ... wording, What wasn't done though was to remove the Two Australian world acclaimed Australia films! wording.
John has eight rare lobby cards printed for the film that he has kindly said that he will include their images here.

Re: How I Use AI for My Poster Collection
Do you think AI would do a better job at finding movie poster lots at local auctions than say a google search? I have missed great opportunities to buy some great posters from local auctions all because the google search results never showed them.
