A big change at eMoviePoster.com! Our auction that runs from August 16th to September 3rd will be our very last "every four week" auction!
THEY WILL BE REPLACED (9 days later) WITH OUR NEW "MONTHLY" AUCTIONS!
This is not a giant change (12 sets of auctions a year compared to the old 13), but it WILL take some "getting used to"!
OUR AUCTIONS EVERY MONTH (starting in September) WILL ALWAYS END ON THE VERY FIRST TUESDAY OF THAT MONTH (with the other two sets of auctions ending the Thursday and Sunday directly afterwards).
This results in 4 times a year of there being NO auctions at all for 9 days (compared to the current 2 days, which still happens the other months).
To make it easy to see how this works, we have updated our Auction calendar (at the left of our Home Page) to reflect these changes.
And you'll notice that we added all the dates for 2027. I am committing to next year, but with the likelihood that starting 1/1/2027 we will raise our minimum value to $100 (from the current $50).
Having 9 days off 4 times a year may SEEM like "no big deal" but if you are an avid collector you can schedule vacations during those times, and not worry about missing ANY auctions!

It’s a pleasure to meet you. Thank you very much for your thorough assessment — especially since it aligns with my own. 🙂
I will contact Heritage and share my findings with them. I would appreciate it if they would amend the listing, as it is currently “officially” described as a 1971 release… I’m not quite sure how they arrived at 1971 despite the 1974 stamp.
I’ll keep you updated. In the end, this is quite significant when it comes to properly assessing the value of a poster.

Yes, when you run out of mylar sleeves divide the posters you have left by the number of members here and send to each.

Since there was limited involvement for "how do you store your posters" probably because it has been beaten to death... Show us you poster collecting environment lair/room/corner! I call mine, my poster lair... It's quite chaotic.

Both Terror Lostralis and Buckeye And Pinto were released in Australia as a double feature in 1980. They were independent Australian films shot and released on 16mm. The films were shorts with Terror Lostralis running either 43 minutes or 55 minutes , depending on which source you believe. Buckeye And Pinto ran 29 minutes according to two different sources. The double ran for lengthy, if limited seasons in Melbourne, Adelaide and Sydney. Both of the two films were also screened separately with other programming. The Australian distributor/s of these films is unknown.

I guess I see the confusion. In 1971 and again in 1974, 2001 was re-released, and they re-used the plates from the 1968 Star Child poster (with less color) and as I recall one or both of those poster DOES have a 1968 copyright on the front, but has a 1971 (or 1974) NSS stamp on the back (if I remember correctly, because I am not at the office now).
However, it appears for those re-releases they solely made Star Child one-sheets and no other.
So I feel real comfortable in saying this IS a 1968 poster that was reused and stamped in 1974.
Our position at eMoviePoster.com is that, since such posters WERE printed in the original year, and solely STAMPED for a re-release, to always call them an original, but of course to note the stamp and that it was reused during that re-released.
And such stamps CAN be removed or painted over.
