I don't know of any other posters that measured 15x40, so yes, that does seem to make it much more likely.
But why so incredibly few horizontal ones, and from very different times?
In the U.S. experiments like changing size usually occurred over a short time, and then were abandoned.

Two silent versions of The Mystery Of A Hansom Cab were filmed and released in Australia in 1911 and 1925.
The 1911 version. Some unique form of poster advertising follows that well may be the only record available of any film poster advertising for this film version.

A correction. Mexican Lobby Cards don't have "title cards". They are all scene cards, with different inset images. Naturally people much prefer ones with great inset images.

Yes, absolutely, Bruce. I’m very proud to have won this at auction. It’s something truly special, and I’m very happy about it. When it arrives here, I’ll review it with a conservator in Hamburg to determine whether restoration makes sense and what scale that might involve. A few houses down from me there’s a long-established gilder who will then create a beautiful, appropriate frame for it. This handbill will be in very good hands with me.

Hello friends of the printed movie world. Have you ever tried this? Upload one of your posters to Grok or ChatGPT (or another AI). Instruct the AI to smooth out the folds or remove magnets, and then ask it to turn it into a prop image in a frame (e.g., an attractive aluminum frame), interestingly lit by a ceiling spotlight. Setting: Penthouse, at night, etc. Just as you like it. In no time, it looks awesome. When I think about how long that used to take in Photoshop back in the day...? A great sales aid or also to check out how it would look in your own apartment.
But there still seem to be issues with the dimensions. "Blue Lagoon" is, for example, a British Quad (30" x 40"), but it appears much larger to me.
Anyway: I guess this is really helpful.
