Re: Missing Australian daybill posters of the 1950s.
A Guns Don't Argue Australian daybill has surfaced on eBay and is currently available there advertised for $30 AU.. The film was previously included as being missing here in part 5, batch7 on July 22.
This film was one of the last RKO Radio controlled films that was released by MGM in Australia on August 18, 1960 .The feature 1957 movie consists of footage compiled from three episodes of the 1952 thirty minute television series Gangbusters.
The Australian daybill and the original U.S.A. insert poster images appear following below.

Many others have tried to shut him down over the years.
When complaints are filed, he returns the money and has the negative review erased. I predict he will shortly be back totally unscathed.
There was a LOT of discussion on this on the allposterforum.com. Bruce also has detailed pages on emovieposter.com

Re: The Comedy Quiz
Yes it is indeed Down Among The Z Men. The image included Harry Secombe, Michael Bentine and Spike Milligan. This film was the only film to feature all four members of the Goons as a team. Also included in the image below is the fourth Goon member Peter Sellers, along with cast member Carole Carr. The film was a quickly shot low budget production, dedeposter said:No clue needed for C33, I recognise those Goons. It's Down Among The Z men (1952)

Re: Hondo's Daybill and One Sheet Q&A [Re-Titled]
HONDO said:Patience John. A question for you though is have you ever seen any American made films appearing on Australian posters where the U.S. spelling of the film's title have been changred to our English way of spelling the word? Here's one example.
Re: Hondo's Daybill and One Sheet Q&A [Re-Titled]
These spelling anomalies were very common. They used the American version of English many times with movies that were produced in the US and shown in Australia. It really is beyond me why it was felt that the English language needed to be changed with so many words but it is what it is.HONDO said:I'll leave it to someone else to comment on the above statement.darolo said:The printer may not have had access to artwork or ad blocks but they surely could access a dictionary - color has a u added to it in our world.
There are literally hundreds of words that have been changed. Colour - Color, Favourite - Favorite, Apologise - Apologize, etc etc. I think it's pretty bizarre that you have to choose whether you want to use Traditional English or American English on computers these days and even more annoying when spellcheck tries to tell me that the English version is not correct.
