Really? I would have thought that things with APF might have improved.

In my mind this is a more focused forum, that really enables all to share. i have learnt a lot about daybills and restoration. WONDERFUL!

I feel both very appealing, because of language. One thing that makes the spanish posters better is that a HUGE amount of them has different art than their country of origin counterparts.

eBay does almost everything they can to run off buyers and sellers. They let sellers of fakes keep selling (in spite of endless complaints) and they harass many good sellers. Practically every month we get another call from a large seller who says they are done with eBay.

Right, Ves. There are not nearly as many new breed collectors who have vast amounts of material like many of the old-timers do. Many essentially say, "I have room on my walls for a dozen items, and when I fill them up, I am done".

That is not necessarily bad in any way! Unlike comic books, baseball cards, etc, posters are MEANT to be displayed and enjoyed, and that to me is one of the most appealing parts of the hobby.

Thanks Rosa! It's taken me a while, and the wife has graciously allowed me to take an entire room, but it's a great diversion from life!
- real umbrellas? Their the ones that came with the light kit so I guess that's a yes-they work very nicely-but am still working on getting the lighting even from top to bottom.

I am absolutely amazed at this Charlie. I honestly thought this one might be beyond saving. Any mention of the term amateur needs to be removed from your restoration abilities. I've seen many a restored poster by "professionals" that would not compare and you aren't even done yet.

I can't wait to get this one back and display it proudly alongside my daybills done by Susan O...something nice about having something worked on by fellow hobbyists!

Red Skies Of Montana I like and the first daybill image I have seen of this title, but why were 20th Century Fox so stingy with having credits appear on their posters.
